These guys are the most abundant species in the pond, and for good reason - they will eat anything that moves, including other frogs.

Not always gray! Many are various shades of green. They are unafraid of humans - in this gallery you will see several photos of them in my hands or posed in various places. They have sticky feet and are inclined to hop UP your arm or shirt, rather than try to escape. They come to the pond to breed in May/June and make a huge racket - like crickets on steroids. Of the five frog species who visit the pond, this is my favorite..
